The levels of stress to which we are subjected today can be very harmful to our health if maintained over time. The breathing and conscious relaxation techniques used in therapeutic yoga are very effective and beneficial in reducing stress and anxiety levels from a physical perspective. This reduction in stress levels will also help us to improve aches and pains, as stress can interfere with the activation and maintenance of these, allowing us to speed up recovery and maintain wellbeing.
Therapeutic yoga helps to improve body awareness, thus improving the balance between all the systems on which our posture and optimal functional movement depend, thus reducing pain, overload and muscle tension.
Through the performance of the postures (Asanas) we can improve muscle activation, mobility, elasticity, strength, balance and body awareness. On the other hand, breathing (pranayamas) will help us to relax all areas of the body to reduce stress and increase body and temporal awareness.
